Frosty Drew Nature Center is an independent, non-profit, tax-exempt educational organization dedicated to introducing individuals to the natural wonders of the salt pond and adjacent barrier beach. Incorporated in 1983, it stands as a living memory to Edwin F. Drew, whose efforts contributed to the preservation of Ninigret Pond and its surrounding areas.
At Frosty Drew Nature Center we believe learning is an active process…a "hands-on, minds-on" experience.
For more than 20 years educators throughout Rhode Island and nearby Connecticut have commented that our program is a wonderful extension of their curriculum. It encourages youngsters to inquire, observe, assess, learn and better understand the interactions of this ecosystem. Our staff of creative an informative Naturalists invite you and your students to come and explore this unique environment.
