- Edit Editing
an item means changing an item by pressing keys. To learn about EDITING

- Press
Pressing ["key"] means a brief press of a key.
Use a key press to complete the editing of a
number, to select an item or to confirm the identification of a spatial
object. Press is distinctly different than
hold.
- Hold Holding
["key"] the [Enter] key means pressing and holding
down the [Enter] key until the system responds with a double
beep or a specific message. Hold is
distinctly different than press. Use hold when values in the base computer must be
modified. As an example, you hold the
[Enter] key to start the editing of times, dates, longitude,
latitudes, time zones, to begin learning mode and to modify
parameters.
- Choose Choosing
a menu means pressing the
[MODE] key repeatedly until the required menu (one to five)
appears. Choosing is unnecessary if you are
already on the correct menu.
- Scroll
Scrolling is a process of moving between menu items or operations
until the desired item is appears. This is done by simply pressing the
[NEXT] or [PREV] keys once you have chosen the appropriate menu. You will complete
this operations with a selection.
- Select
Selecting an item or an operation means choosing the correct menu, scrolling to the required item or operation on the
menu and pressing [Enter] briefly.
For example, to "select the alignment procedure" you should choose the first mode menu, scroll to the ALIGN operation and briefly
press [Enter].
